Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 2026

TL;DR — Use Working Mate responsibly. You may not use it for illegal activity, to generate harmful content, to target minors, to build weapons, to spread malware, to harass people, or to deceive others. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this policy.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your access to and use of Working Mate Desktop Assistant, including its local features, cloud AI modes, third-party AI integrations, and any related services we provide (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service, directly or indirectly, to:

  • Break the law. Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law, regulation, or treaty.
  • Harm minors. Generate, distribute, or solicit any content that exploits or sexualizes minors (real or fictional). This includes "age-play" content. We report suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the appropriate authorities.
  • Create violent or extremist content. Produce material that depicts, glorifies, or encourages real-person violence, terrorism, genocide, or mass-casualty attacks, or that recruits for extremist organizations.
  • Build weapons. Generate operational instructions for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive weapons, or for weaponizable delivery systems.
  • Spread malware. Author, package, distribute, or assist in deploying viruses, ransomware, spyware, rootkits, or other malicious software — including exploit code, command-and-control logic, or phishing payloads targeting real systems without authorization.
  • Harass or threaten. Target, dox, stalk, bully, threaten, or intimidate any specific individual or group.
  • Deceive others. Generate deepfakes, voice clones, or other synthetic media intended to impersonate a real person without their explicit consent, or to spread disinformation about real events, elections, public-health guidance, or financial matters.
  • Generate non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). Realistic intimate content depicting identifiable people who have not consented.
  • Scrape or resell the Service. Reverse-engineer, bypass rate limits, or systematically scrape the Service to build a competing product, or to resell access to it, without our written permission.
  • Train competing models. Use outputs as training data for any commercial model that competes with the underlying model providers.
  • Send spam. Generate mass outreach, automated messages, or unsolicited bulk content — including for SEO manipulation.

2. AI-Generated Content Responsibilities

Outputs from AI models may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unfit for your purpose. By using the Service you agree that:

  • You are responsible for the outputs you use. ALWAYS review AI-generated content before publishing, sending, or relying on it. Do not present AI output as the work of a human expert where that misrepresentation would mislead others.
  • Do not automate high-stakes decisions without human review. Using AI output for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or hiring decisions requires qualified human review.
  • Respect intellectual property. You may not use the Service to mass-produce content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other IP rights, or to circumvent paywalls or DRM.
  • Mark synthetic media. When you publish AI-generated images, video, audio, or text that could be mistaken for real media of real events or people, you must disclose that it is AI-generated where the context reasonably calls for it.

3. No Automated Exploitation

You may not use bots, scrapers, scripts, or other automated means to:

  • Exceed the rate limits we publish or that the underlying model providers enforce.
  • Bypass authentication, paywalls, or feature limits.
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without written authorization.
  • Resell, sublicense, or repackage access to the Service.

4. No Interference

You may not attempt to:

  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Service or any infrastructure used to provide it.
  • Circumvent license verification, watermarking, or attribution mechanisms.
  • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our systems or those of our providers.

5. No Misrepresentation

  • Do not claim that output was written by a named human author when it was not, where that claim is material to the recipient.
  • Do not impersonate Working Mate, our staff, or any model provider in your communications.
  • Do not use the Service to generate content for political campaigns in jurisdictions where such use is regulated, without complying with applicable disclosure laws.

6. Compliance with Local Law

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service — and any output you publish, send, or rely on — complies with the laws of the place where you live, work, or distribute the output. Some jurisdictions restrict the use of AI for specific purposes (e.g., biometric identification, social scoring, automated employment decisions). It is your job to know and follow those rules.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of content or activity that violates this AUP — including in another user's outputs shared with you — please report it to us at working_mate@outlook.com with the subject line "AUP report". Include enough context (date, description, any prompt that triggered the output) for us to investigate. We do not commit to act on every report, but we review all good-faith submissions.

8. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion, take any of the following steps if we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP or applicable law:

  • Warn you and request corrective action.
  • Throttle, suspend, or revoke your license key, with or without notice.
  • Block specific prompts, model categories, or features.
  • Terminate your access entirely (see Terms of Service, Section 11).
  • Refer the matter to law enforcement where required or appropriate — including for CSAM, weapons-of-mass-destruction content, and imminent threats.

Where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix unintentional violations before suspending access. We may skip notice where the violation is severe, repetitive, or where notice would be counterproductive.

9. No Warranty as to Outputs

The Service is provided "as is". We and the underlying model providers do not warrant that outputs will be accurate, lawful in your jurisdiction, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk. See Terms of Service, Sections 8–9, for the full disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes and on this page, with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
