Privacy Policy

TL;DR — We don't collect your data. Working Mate is a desktop application that runs on your own computer. Your chats, files, and settings stay on your device. We don't have a server that sees your prompts.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the Software:

License information: A machine-bound license key and tier status, used to verify your subscription. Stored locally on your device.
Payment information: Processed entirely by Creem, our merchant of record. We never see or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or payment credentials.
Crash reports (optional): If you choose to send a crash report, it may include anonymized stack traces and system information to help us fix bugs. No chat content or personal files are included.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect, transmit, or store:

Your chat messages, prompts, or AI-generated responses
Files you upload or attach to the Software
Your browsing history, clipboard content, or screen recordings
Your local file system contents or folder structures
Your API keys for third-party AI services
Any personal data that could identify you beyond what is needed for licensing

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All chat history, memories, settings, and configuration files are stored locally on your device in your user data directory. In Free mode, nothing ever leaves your computer.

If you enable cloud AI modes (Standard or Pro), your prompts are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you configured (e.g., Anthropic, Google, OpenAI). We do not proxy, log, or inspect these requests. Your relationship with the AI provider is governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Third-Party Services

The Software integrates with the following third-party services:

Creem — Payment processing. See Creem Privacy Policy.
Qiniu Cloud (七牛云) — Cloud AI model gateway for the built-in chat, image, and video models. See Qiniu Privacy Policy. Prompts you send in cloud modes are transmitted from your device to Qiniu; we do not proxy or inspect them.
Kuaishou Kling (可灵) — Text-to-video and image-to-video generation, accessed via the Qiniu gateway.
302.ai / Suno — AI music generation (when enabled in cloud mode).
Anthropic / Google / OpenAI / DeepSeek / others — Cloud AI model providers, only when you explicitly enable cloud mode with your own credentials.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data we do handle. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since we collect minimal data, most requests can be fulfilled by uninstalling the Software (which removes all local data) or contacting us to delete any account records.

7. Children's Privacy

The Software is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
